  1. Copy the URL of the video:
    • If you're using a web browser such as Safari, locate the video on the YouTube or Vimeo website, tap the URL in the address bar at the top of the page, tap it again, then tap Copy. Make sure the entire link is selected, such as “https://youtu.be/nnZeDt2c8Yo.”
    • If you have the YouTube or Vimeo app installed on your device, locate the video, tap the share button on the video, then tap Copy Link.
  2. In Pages, Numbers, or Keynote, tap in the document where you want the video to appear. In Keynote, make sure you're in Slide View.
  3. Tap the Insert button , tap the Media button , then tap Web Video.
  4. Tap in the Enter URL field, then tap Paste.
  5. Tap Insert.*

To watch the video, tap the Play button on the video in the document. You might have to tap Play again. You can watch the video in edit view or reading view.

You can drag the video around the page to move it, and resize, position, and align the video like you can with other objects. You can also add titles and captions to the video.

* Some URLs copied from the Vimeo app might not work. To copy the URL if you have the Vimeo app installed, search for the video using a web browser, tap and hold the video in the search results, then tap Copy. You can then add the video to your document.

  1. Tap the video in the document, then tap the Format button .
  2. Tap Web Video, tap Title and Caption, then turn on the options that you want.
  3. Double-tap the placeholder text, then type the title or caption. If the text doesn’t fit, drag the selection handles on the text box. If you don’t see selection handles, tap outside the box, then tap the text once.
